Google Maps launches in Australia
Google break out down under…this means they’re in: Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia (Moscow only), San Marino, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey (Istanbul only), United Kingdom and United States of America.
I guess it’s OK if you like vector-style maps - but I wonder how, in a country where a single postcode district might be the size of Wales - the lack of detail on the maps themselves might cause problems when you’re hunting for a road in the outback…
Maybe I’m biased…; )
